not sure what i am doing

okay, so this is the 2nd time i have blogged something. i don't really know what to say besides i have a great wife and awesome kiddos that i really enjoy being around. q and p are great together and seeing them interact the way they do brings a smile to my face.

okay, so now i know why i can't blog as often as my wife. i would post all 40+ pictures that we take on the blog and everyone would be tired of it. sorry, but at least you can suffer through it at least once every 6 months.

check out some of the pics from tonight.

check out the 3 stooges in the tub (i have shorts on and we kept the pictures family friendly)

this would be a great picture if i wasn't looking in a different direction!

me and my q-tip

i would like to give a "shout out" to my wife for all the hard work she puts into this blog. not only am i commending her on what a good job she does, but at least she is consistant! :) love you honey. you are the best mom blogger ever and keep me laughing ;)

Memorial Park

I had to go to Athens today for school stuff and the girls got to go with me. Of course we made it to Memorial Park to see the animals and then to Hodgson's for ice cream (and for all of you Athenians, it has moved...can you believe it, but at least the ice cream was still good and cheap). What is crazy is that we did this same trip last year with my sister, mom, and Q's cousins... my how Q and Pay have changed (P was still in my belly). Check it out here. She is pretending to bite like the animals!Q actually took this picture...I guess we know what Pay thinks about the park! They are wearing matching outfits yet again. This is one sure fire way to avoid a fight in the morning, Q truly loves wearing matching clothes with her sister.Riding the big bulldog.
And for all of you Tommy Boy fans out there, here is Pay's "Fat Guy in a Little Coat Face"!

9 months old

Our Pay turned 9 months old on Monday. Can you tell which one is Pay and which is Q at the same age?Check out those teeth!
Q has also gotten into taking pictures and smiling for the camera. She is quite the ham and I do have to admit she is getting to be really good with her manners (when she is not tired). The other day she cleaned her plate off in the trash can and then put it into the dishwasher on her own without having to be prompted. It makes me both proud and sad that my sweet girl is getting oler and turning into a big girl who does not need as much help from Mommy and Daddy :(.

Our Fathers Day

We love our B around these parts, so much that we sent him riding motorcycles for his Father's Day present (on Friday). Today the VBS kids sang in church. Well, every kid but Q sang. She was a bit more animated than the dress rehersal, but still no words came out of her mouth.I think that might be a glimmer of a smile on her face!
After a long nap we headed out to my parents house for dinner and fun. Here she is enjoying one of her birthday presents. It was supposed to be a hopscotch thing, but it quickly turned into a slip and slide. Still way fun and a great way to cool off in the almost 100 degree weather.

Birthday Extravaganza

We celebrated Q and Harry's 3rd birthdays with a gymnastics party and their friends. Besides being about 100 degrees in the place, it was a whole lot of sweaty fun.The whole gang!Payter getting in on the action.Who doesn't love the parachute game?B's princess castle cake.Lovin' her some cake!Posing before ripping into her mountain of presents...she was very appreciative of everything, so thank you to everyone who gave her a gift.

My Girls

really do love each other.

VBS day 4

Yesterday was the fourth day of VBS. The kids will conclude on Sunday and will sing in front of the church, so in order to prepare them Josh got them all on stage to practice their singing. Well, everyone except for Q and Cadence sang, I'm not kidding, everyon but them!

Today was the third day of VBS and it just gets better and better everyday for the Q. I don't have rally great pictures, but know we all had a blast.

Army Crawl

Pay is "crawling" on her own. It is more of an army crawl, but at least she can move around to get where she wants to go. It's hard to tape her because she would rather smile at the camera than actually move. Crazy girl smiles whenever she sees a camera pointed her direction - too cute!

VBS take 2

Way better today for all parties involved! Q spoke, answered questions, danced and overall had a great time...she even wants to go back tomorrow.

VBS Day 1

It is Q's first year attending VBS and from this picture you can tell just how much she enjoys it...lets hope tomorrow is a bit better.

Birthday Take 1

This weekend we were able to spend time with the Lockhart side of the family before B's brother and his family make the big move to Nebraska (we've got some Corn huskers amongst us now!). We also took the opportunity to celebrate Q's birthday even though it is still officially 2 weeks away. We had a blast swimming, eating, and just hanging out.
The girls love the water. Q has decided she no longer needs swimmies (because her cousins don't wear them) and Pay is quite content just to lounge in her floatie. This is the best family picture we got, but still cute!Check out that proud Daddy!Yes, off the diving board, no fear. The only problem is that she doesn't know how to swim yet, she is trying but still a ways off. I am hoping that by the end of the summer she will be there.Chillin!
Check out the cousins!
B is getting pretty good at decorating cakes (I'll mention again that he is for hire...cakes, hair cuts, building, the list goes on and on). He is even going to attempt his hand at a princess castle cake for this weekend...So excited!
That's her "aawwww" face!Loving her new scooter and shoes from Hudson, check out those Barbie crocks...they crack me up!Even Payter got in on the "scooting" action!

Finger Painting

equals a big fat mess in our house!

Sunscreen

This is what happens when you ask a two year old to put on sunscreen in the car. B thought it was hysterical!

TOOTH

It's hard to see from this picture but Pay is getting her first tooth! This is the one milestone she is four months ahead of her sister on! It's a tiny white speck, but it's there and sharp as a dagger.

The Zoo...

Is such an awesome place to bring two almost three year olds (and their younger siblings). Heather and I took the kids out to the zoo today and they did great and had a lot of fun. Q has been talking about going to the zoo for a while now and since she is about to be three and no longer free we decided to head on out. It was not crowded so Q and Harry got to see everything and walk around by themselves. The "babies" did great as well even though they had to spend the majority of their time strapped into the stroller. Here are some a Q's faves:
1. The flamingos - because they are pink of course, but she said they needed a bath because they STUNK.2. Watching the elephant get a bath.
3. Posing at every available statue and "put your head in an animal hole thing" for a pictureReally, what are those things? Check out their muscles! This is the best pic of got of all of the kids...at least one of them is smiling!
4. The reptile house...for some reason she likes snakes (she did not get this from her daddy).
5. Going in and out of the naked mole rat tunnel and playing on its playground
Pay loved the petting zoo, maybe because it was about one of the only places she could get out, but she loved it none the less.Q not so much, getting one finger on an animal was quite enough for her!My favorite part was this... This is how I will begin to introduce the "birds and the bees" to the girls. For now we just said the turtles were ridding piggy-back! AWESOME!
