Thanksgiving weekend
We spent the Thanksgiving weekend in Macon and had the chance to take family pictures with the Lockhart clan. Pay was in one of her "moods" and screamed for all of the pictures except for when B was holding her! Yes, she has taken to calling him Mama and screams for him if he leaves her sight. It was a bit chilly for the pictures, so Q decided she only wanted to smile for me. Check her out!
A theme of the weekend: everyone trying to make P happy, but only one person would suffice, "Mama".
Q had a great time playing with her cousins. It was really neat to watch how they interact as they get older, they literally played outside everyday all day, it was great. Aunt Kristy always gets the kids matching pj's each year, check out the little hams!
Q loved playing school with MC.

And finally, a rare shot of the Pay letting someone else hold her. She loves saying Pop Pop's name, their favorite thing to do together is bark like dogs. She sure is cute when she is happy!

30
B turned 30 Wednesday and we had a great time celebrating with him. Of course the girls got to "make" a cake and Q chose his theme for his party, Pirates (isn't that what every 30 year old wants)!

I know it's hard to tell from the pictures, but some cake batter actually made into the pans! Check out the pirates. I'm thinking the kids had more fun that B, well maybe.
Then yesterday we got to have another party in Macon for him. Q loves it when we have birthdays because she gets to blow out the candles.
Happy Birthday B, we love you!

Good friends
are truly hard to come by. Yesterday we spend a fun filled day hanging out with some of my closest college friends. Ginger, Michelle, and David brought the kids over to play, and play they did. I am a bit jealous of how good sweet Jacob was - no crying at all, how refreshing.
I wish I could have gotten a better shot of Pay's face because she LOVED showing off for Jacob.
Q and Maylee playing.
Later that evening we piled in to the Godzisz's van to head down to a bonfire with a bunch of our other college peeps. Poor Michelle had to sit between the two captains chairs for the ride, but Pay sure loved it!
The kids were much more impressed with the trampoline and swings than the actual bonfire, sorry Brittany. They jumped until their hands were numb and then they jumped some more. Pay loved "jumping" with Madison.
Amaya and B bonded!
David knows what makes a Payter happy!
This is the best I got to a group kids shot (minus Brody).
Q ate deconstructed s'mores for about 1 minute until she could no longer resist the call of the trampoline.
PJ time is way more fun when there is a precious Brody around!
These people are why I loved college so much. We are quite the montley crew, but no one can take away the memories we have!

Not too early
for Christmas decorating! We will have a crazy rest of the week with Thanksgiving festivities, so we took the day to decorate. Q is really into helping me, which means her sister wants to be a part as well. It took us only less than 2 hours to get everything done besides ornaments on the big tree.
Thanks to my sister for the idea, we get the girls a new ornament each year of their choosing. Here is Q hanging up her ballerina ornament.
Pay worked really hard to put her Elmo up.
While Q helped me put stuff up, Pay thought it would be way more fun to take all of the ornaments out the boxes and eat them!
I also broke down this year and bought Q her own little Christmas tree. It is crazy how after 6 years of marriage and two kids one family can have so many ornaments. She is very proud of her tree.

Thanksgiving party
Q had her Thanksgiving part at school today and it was so cute. They had an Thanksgiving feast for all of the kids and parents. Pay liked eating her sisters food.
I don't remember a spread like this when I was in preschool.
Nothing is more fun than good food and getting to play outside.
Yes P has her paci in. Why? Because 3 seconds before we saw she had something huge in her mouth. A bunch of sand, no big deal, other than fact the sand was covering a huge rock which was the sand hard to chew!

God is faithful
We took Pay back to the orthopedist for her scoliosis and we are so humbled that the Lord has allowed Pay's scoliosis to improve from 25 degrees of curvature to only 10 degrees in just 6 months! For those math people that is a 60 percent change (thanks Brandon for the number)! We were a bit nervous when 4 doctors came into the room to talk to us today, but I guess since infantile scoliosis is so rare that everyone wanted to get a peak at our girl. One of the doctors was visiting from Duke where she has seen many cases like Pay's and said this is common for them to heal on their "own". This means that the will continue to monitor her progress and we will be back in 6 months for more x-rays. So, we just ask that you continue to pray that she gets straighter and straighter. Our God is good, isn't he. Check out her x-ray from 6 months ago and the one from today - it's pretty amazing to see the change in such a short period of time.

For a job well done we took the girls to the Varsity for their first time! The frosted orange was a huge hit.
Pay was over the pictures by this point and wanted to get down and walk around, but Q was all about the hat.

No joke
This week
has seen both girls feeling better and more times of laughter in our house. Though, now Pay has gotten very used to being held (from being sick for so long) and now is having a hard time adjusting to me leaving her on the floor to cry. What I do know is that this too shall pass and we will see many more days of laughter in our future.
Daddy was washing the cars, so of course Q needed to wash her's as well.
Hey, why did you put my seat in the yard? Oh well, I guess it works just as well here!
A typical Friday night at Johnny's Pizza with Heather and the kids.
The claw game master, B, won 3 of the 4beautiful prizes for the kids - and of course Pay gets the shaft and was stuck with Abu from the Simpsons - awesome.
Now that Pay is really trying to walk we busted out the girls slippers the other night. Too cute. Pay loves to quack at hers!
Fun!
Q has been learning about Thanksgiving type stuff at school and got to make an Indian drum; her Indian name is Golden Hair.

Family Pictures Take 1
We finally got Q and P's pictures taken for their respective birthdays and I am loving them. If anyone is looking for a photographer at a super reasonable price check out Tammy's website. Here are the ones I like so far.
