Last Day

It's crazy to think that two years ago this was Q after her first day at Child's World.  A couple weeks ago she ended her time there with a class picnic and lots of playing on the playground (isn't what they do best there).  I cannot even begin to tell anyone what a marvelous place C.W. has been for Q, how much the teachers loved on her, how much she learned, and most importantly how much she loved going to school everyday.
This is her on her last day of four-year-old-preschool.  What is crazier to think is this little girl will be a KINDERGARTENER next year.  Oh, if I were only more equipped to home school and I would keep her home with me all of the time.

Because of this place she is an awesome swinger.
 Her boys.
Another thing that is hard for me to fathom is that Pay will be there next year in the three year old class.  To say she is excited is an understatement.  She already thinks she goes to school  there and knows all of the teachers and kids.
Watch out Mrs. Scott, here comes Payter!

Love

Though she wasn't into making silly faces, this is still Q's favorite part of the day.

Many Outfits

Just found some pics of the girls from the past weeks.
It has gotten warm enough to get in bathing suits and they are stoked.

One afternoon mom came over so I could go for a run and I came home to these pictures...mind you her only job was to get Q ready for ballet...

 Stellar!

Not to be outdone

Most people know that my hubby is super handy, so it will come as no surprise that he has taken up a new hobby.  We saw some of these dispensers in Savannah and rather than buy them he just figured out how to make them himself.  What is even cooler is that we found several antique mason jars on the internet have have repurposed them into these awesome dispensers.  They have made great teacher gifts and we have even sold a few extras.

I too decided I could figure out a way to save money.  Q saw these cute skirts in a store the other day and I was flabbergasted when I saw how much people asked for them.  After a quick trip to Hobby Lobby I figured out how to make them for a fraction of the price.  The girls love them.

Don't worry, it only took me 35 yards of tulle to make them :).

My little mode is the cutest, isn't she?

Success

I Think I finally figured out how to upload videos from our camera.  I know it's blurry, but here is Q during her school program.

Child's World Program

A couple weeks ago Q had her preschool program and of course it was super cute.  Her role was the girl from Hawaii, so she got to wear her hula skirt, bathing suit, and flip flops (she was pumped).  I am trying to get my videos working and I will upload her part, but basically all she said was, "I'm from Hawaii, Aloha.:"
Yeah, she is the littlest one in the middle.
 Her biggest fans.
Q, P and Smokey the Bear (Ty)

 Lovin' on some Mrs. Boswell.

No Shame in Her Game...

She would leave the house like this if I let her.  Good thing she's beautiful!

Savannah Trip

A couple weekends ago B and I got to spend a weekend ALONE in Savannah to celebrate our anniversary.  We had a blast and all we really did was walk around the city, run, and eat until we could explode.  My kind of weekend if I say so.
We dreamed of houses we couldn't afford...

We also went to this super cool festival put on by SCAD.  We thought the students were going to be selling their artwork, but it was just as it says, a sidewalk arts festival.  Students, alumni, and randoms literally made masterpieces on the sidewalk with chalk.  It was awesome.
Here are some of our favorites.  (This was done by a high school kid.)
This girl won in one of the categories.  The is just painting with dissolved chalk.

Some of our favorite places we ate were Lady and Sons,

 Bubba's Oyster Bar (Paula Deen's brother's restaurant),

And of course this little joint..

My mouth waters just thinking about our trip and how soon we can get some more of those bad boys.  Who's in to join us next time?

Pets

If there's one thing that my kiddos aren't afraid of is animals.  They are also quite fond of insects and reptiles (makes one science teacher mom very proud).  Here are some of thier favorites.

Our ladybugs and beetles have not made it to a photo op yet due to the fact they get "loved on" a bit too much.

Easter 2011 Wrap Up

Easter came and went with a flash this year.  After spending Saturday morning at P's soccer we came home and worked on dying our eggs.  I don't who had more fun, Q or B?
 Look at my stickers mom...

Sunday morning we got up early so we could check out our baskets and hunt for the eggs the girls dyed the day before.
Notice no candy in those baskets...yup I'm that mom.

After we taught the kiddos at church we had an egg hunt on the football field (one of the perks of meeting at a high school).  Q and Harry were looking quite dapper.
She had tons to choose from.
P has gotten to be a pro at this.
Look what little buddy we ran into.
Then we rushed to Di Di and Paps for yummy food and another egg hunt!
We were pretty ruthless with our egg hiding.  You can barley see P in the bush.
Egg hunting is not nearly as fun as swinging for a 2 year old.
Then we had a dance party.
 And snuggle time.
Can you see a bit of their personalities in this picture!!!
