macon swimming

After we got home from the beach we spent a few days in Macon. This is what we did the whole time and we loved every minute of it!

It's amazing to think that we were in this same pool Memorial Day and Q was terrified to swim and Pay only wanted to put her toes in the water.  My has 6 weeks of pool time changed my girls.  I am so proud of them.

Wrapping up the beach

We ran into these guys in the parking lot on our way to dinner our last night.  They were pretty impressive.

I accidently erased all of my family pictures on my camera, so these are the ones I stole from Dad.  I am bummed because I have no pictures of just my family and girls.  Too bad, guess we will have to just go back again :).

Thursday at the beach

After a morning at the beach B and I were able to get away to Charleston while the girls hung out with Di Di and Paps.  We started out our day dodging a huge rain storm at Patriots Point touring the USS Yorktown and a submarine.  It was pretty awesome.

This is how 3,500 men slept...
 and  how they bathed.
I was blown away by all of the stuff they had on the ship, doctors office, operating room, multiple dentist chairs, a chapel, a bakery, butcher, shoe maker, and tons more.
After eating some awesome food we headed back to the condo to meet the gang for some kite flying and a evening stroll on the beach.
I love this shot.
 Check out the kite masters.

All of the kiddos got a turn flying.

All of the Hutcheson side.
 The whole gang!

 Checking out our shots.

Folly Beach - mid week

For the most part, here was our daily beach routine:  wake up whenever we wanted, exercise a bit, go to the beach, eat lunch, naps, swim in the pool, go out for dinner, put kiddos down to bed, and end the evening by playing games.  These pictures are in reverse order of our events, but you get the point.
The girls LOVED swimming.  Q can swim everywhere (when she gets brave enough) and is learning how to dive for sticks.  P loves jumping in and wants to be just like the big kids.

Not a shabby view from our pool.
Each day we went to the ocean the girls got braver and braver about getting in the water.  They still wanted us to be with them, but they did get more adventurous as the time went by.  It helped having all of the other kids around to watch.
Q could have spent all day building sand castles.

The ladies (minus Di Di and Abbey).
 The fellas.
Kallie was a fish, check out her boogie boarding.
Grandmama made the girls new nightgowns.  Too cute.
Monday night we all gorged ourselves on low country boil.  The men didn't quit until the battle was won.
We let the kids eat on the balcony... bad idea because this is what we encountered.
Folly has a great pier for the kids to walk and to look at the water.

The girls also got spoiled by this girl, they loved being able to spend time with Abbey and G.

Folly Beach, we have arrived

After coming to Folly last year we knew we wanted to be here again this year.  We have been here a little over 2 days and are loving playing in the ocean, the pool, and eating yummy food.  When we got here the girls discovered the balcony and have been spending most of their down time out there.

Not a shabby view from our back door.
Sunday morning Di Di took the girls down to the water.  It was fun to watch them from above.
Today we met up with the whole gang and had a lot of fun playing in the water and building sandcastles.

After the girls wake up from their nap we are heading out to do this again...

Check out these nightgowns Grandmama brought them.  Too cute.
We love the beach!!!
