Date Night

We don't do it as much as we should, but on those rare occasions when we have a free weekend evening we like to let the girls have special dates.  Q had 2 birthday parties one weekend, so Pay and Daddy got to go out, just the two of them.  Per P's request they went to the movies.  When I went to go check in on how she was doing getting ready for her date, this is what I found...

I mean, can you handle this?  It is a glimpse into my future; sisters helping each other get ready for dates.  Sometimes it is scary to think just how grown up they are becoming.
Here she is with her handsome beau for the evening.
Our goal is for them to learn how to be treated like a lady so when they are old enough to date they will expect (and demand) nothing less.  Hey if all else fails they can just continue to date their daddy until they are 30!

Copy Cat

Liv is at an age where she wants to do EVERYTHING her big sisters do.  It is so much fun to watch her grow up and learn form the "biggies".
Working on her school work with P.
Taking care of her babies like her sisters do.  Here she has saying, "Eat baby, eat.".

And because I couldn't resist, I had to add this cuteness.
I mean what baby doesn't like running around naked???  Ours sure do!

Mountains with the Lockharts

We rounded out this summer with a weekend trip with the whole Lockhart clan to the mountains.  It was a wonderful time of of hanging out and just spending time together.  Lots of iPad movies were watched.
 Great conversation was had.
Lots and lots and lots of ping pong was played.
We went on a cold creek hike.

Q was all smiles until she took an unexpected ride down a waterfall (it was small, but still frigid).

Grammy and Rob set up a scavenger hunt for all the kiddos.
Even Liv got into the action.

 Hammocks were swung in.

along with tree swings.

I was not a fan of this swing.  Yes, Liv is still strapped into the carrier...

These two spent the majority of their time playing with their dolls.  They have quite the imaginations.
 And family pictures were attempted...

The Fountains

Because of the massive amounts of rain we have had we had to wait until almost the end of the summer to make a trip to the fountains.  For once it wasn't crowded which made the girls love splashing around even more.

This little one loved it, but wore herself slap out from running all over. Can you tell she's tired?
They were cold, but still had smiles on their faces.
 Where's Q?

It took her a while to warm up, but eventually she got into the action
 and loved it as well.

Wrapping up the Beach

Q and B finally got a chance to hop in with the rest of the gang in a game of baseball on the beach.

Almost everyone had a great time playing...
Q only lasted about an inning before she found her niche.

 How cute are these two.

Folly has a pretty awesome pier.  I thought it would be fun to take a picture under it.  It didn't turn out exactly as I hoped, but the kids are super cute none the less.
Can you even handle how sweet this is?
 Di Di and her girls.
 Bike riding buddies.
Q went as far as 4.3 miles one day - you go girl!
 TV watching buddies.
It sure was hard to leave this place and get back to reality.
