Pictures Say 1,000 Words

So I just wanted to share some of Q's new pictures. I couldn't resist putting the naked picture in... she is in her glory wearing only flip flops playing with her wagon! She has quite the little personality... I think that's just what people say when you have a stubborn kid! She officially had her first tantrum last week when she was told "NO" after she tried to kick Cole off her tractor by pulling him by his face; she fell face down on the ground kicking and screaming! Really, she is only 14 months and she is already acting like this, I can't wait for the "terrible twos". We are getting pumped around our house because the Dawgs open up this Saturday. Don't worry B and Cohen already have our menu planned, tailgating spot picked out, and DirectTV working! Q already knows how to bark, hopefully she will get to do this a lot on Saturday watching Georgia play at DiDi and Pap's house.

Shout Out

Here is a little picture of our friends Julie and Michael Schulz (sorry Jules, you're not getting any hyphanation from me!). They got married this past May and it was quite the shindig. They are too cute and we can't wait for them to make lots of babies so our kids can all hang out together. We love them and know that they are taking "The Cape" by storm and living a life for Jesus. We love you two.

And in the Pink Corner...

Are you kidding me, not only does my child love to run around naked after her bath, but now she is into wearing her robe! She looks like a boxer (and acts like it) with her hood up, running around the house. She even walked around the yard yesterday with her robe on to show our neighbors (kinda redneck if you ask me). Other than that things have been the same around these parts. I did start school today and you know you are old when you are the ONLY MINIVAN in the whole UGA parking lot. Well as Kristy said, "I guess you will never lose your car". I can't wait to get the jeep back and ride in style; then not only will I still look like a college kid, but drive a cool car too! Oh, one more thing about school... on Wednesday, when I went to get my parking pass, I was the only person in a line of about 100 with a kid in a stroller! Q was having a grand old time talking to anyone who was in ear shot. I only felt A LITTLE out of place!

Oh Back To School...

So here I go, I am going back to school this week. You might think, "I didn't think she was teaching this year", but no really I begin my masters this Friday! It might take me 30 years to complete, but I am starting none the less. I am sure I will have a lot of funny stories to share during my observation in Winder Barrow High School and hanging out on the crazy UGA campus. I have a little song for you all in honor of my first day...

"Back to school! Back to school, to prove to Dad that I'm not a fool!
I got my lunch packed up, my boots tied tight, I hope I don't get in a fight!
Ohhhh, back to school! Back to school! Back to school!"

Nothing like a little Billy Madison to bring a smile to your face! Well wish me luck and pray that by the time I finish I do not end up looking this this guy (in female version).
For those of you who really like you some Billy Madison here are two more of my favorite lines...

"Principal: Mr. Madison, what you've just said is one of the most insanely idiotic things I have ever heard. At no point in your rambling, incoherent response were you even close to anything that could be considered a rational thought. Everyone in this room is now dumber for having listened to it. I award you no points, and may God have mercy on your soul."
~
"No I will not make out with you! You got Chlorophyll Man up there talking about God knows what and all she can talk about is making out with me. I'm here to learn, people, not to make out with you! Go on with the chlorophyll!"

Whoo Hoo!

Here I go blogging! I am now able to download pictures from my camera to my computer so here I come blogging world! Here are some funny pics of Q!

Q likes to eat the bubbles!

Our Little Gymnast! Hey DiDi those are the shoes from Mexico.

After bath time she likes to run around with her towl on her hear - yikes!

Aunt Mandy should be proud of the little cook.

We Did It!

No... get your minds out of the gutter, it's nothing dirty... we finished our triathlon! Mind you we only did one leg each and I had the easy part of running four miles, but none the less we completed it as a team. Myself, Britton and Brandon (Britton's bro) completed the Hiawassee International Distance Triathlon on Saturday and it was so much fun. I was inspired by all of the people competing. The age range was from 14 to 70 something, I know this because they write your age on your leg (I think this is to make you feel bad when a 56 year old man blows past you!). There were some amazing things about the whole experience... the overall female winner was a mere 14 year old and the guy who won (by a ton I might add) did the whole thing in a speedo! I do have to give some props to Britton because he had the hardest leg, the bike, and he completed 23 miles in the mountains in a mere 1:24! We were so pumped to see him coming down the hill to the transition. The running was fun, but tough. I felt bad because by that time I started the majority of the other racers had been competing for almost 2 hours and I had fresh legs, and because about the only people I passed were cramping up, yikes. I do think that I have caught the bug and will be turning my half marathon training in after Thanksgiving and moving onto triathlons (Britton is still not sure yet - the whole swimming thing is not his cup of tea). I forgot my camera so I don't have a picture of the three of us, Tommy Want Wingy (team name), and for that I am bummed. So, I guess I will have to just show ya'll a picture of Q-Dog instead!

Jumping on the band waggon!

So I've finally succumbed to the blogging peer pressure (this is after I fell into My Space, and Facebook). I thought this would be a great place to share with family and friends the wonderful thing that the Lord is doing in our lives, and (the real reason) to share Q-Tip with the world (that kinda sounds bad). No really, there are very funny things that happen in the Lockhart's world and in case anyone else wants to know, well here it is! I hope you enjoy and I promise never to make fun of anyone addicted to the Internet anymore!
