Memorial Day Weekend

There wasn't much downtime this weekend, but it was a lot of fun none the less. We went from fishing at Jim's house (I wish I had the pictures), to a wedding, to a parade, to Habersham all in a weekend. Q officially loves to fish and ride in a paddle boat. She an Daddy caught two fish, one of which we all saw, and the other only she, Daddy, and Heather saw. She comes into the house with her hands out wide saying "Momma I caught me a biggin' fish!". B tried to get her to say "I got me a marlin" (you know from Austin Powers). Here are some pictures from the Dacula Memorial Day Parade. I was quite impressed, there was a lot of free candy and great stuff for the kids to see. We are already training Q and Harry to be better candy grabbers because some bigger kids got in their way of all those pops on the ground.
Q was so excited to see her cousins in the parade. The only time she cried was when she got pelted in the head by candy, but not to worry that quickly subsided when "Coler Moler" came past!
Pops! This is all Q wanted to pick up... so much for the chocolate Mom!

Can you tell how much they liked waving their flags? We will start working on the words to "I'm Proud to Be an American" for the 4th of July!
How cute are they!

Top Chef

Quinn has really gotten into helping me cook lately. She found a new favorite ingredient to work with... FLOUR! She knows how to make us laugh! Who doesn't love cheese? She soon ran out and started picking the cheese off the pizza!
Yup, she was roiling in the flour!
I think I was laughing so hard I was crying...look how proud she looks!
One happy cook!

Is it Quinn or Queen?

Sometimes I wonder... We had a very eventful and fun-filled weekend. We spent time with Harris on Friday and then headed off to Macon on Saturday for a birthday party and to meet Mari Cagle and Nate's new puppy, Albert. This is what happened on Friday with Harris...There was a point in this fun where she was directing Harris to where she wanted to go; she definitely wears the pants in the relationship! We would hear.. "Push me in the titchen (kitchen) Harry". Don't worry, they did trade places eventually! Macon was a blast as well. Quinn loves dogs and boy oh boy did she love little Albert the Labradoodle! All she wanted to do all weekend is love on him. Nate's "pirate party" was also a blast. Britton got beat up by the children and taught them to wear their earrings as noes rings instead. Yup folks, that is what I live with! At least he keeps me guessing! Amidst all of this there was also much playing to take place. The kids love playing on Grammy's piano and driving the "tractor". Check out this video... I hope this is no indication of her future driving record! Does it bother anyone else that she doesn't look which way she is going? I guess it doesn't matter anyway because Harris will chauffeur her!

Jesus Loves Me

So I have been trying for weeks now to get videos on this blog. Lucky for me I have been taking an Internet class and kinda know how to edit video (kinda being the key word). Here is a video of Q from a while ago, but its still cute none the less. Please ignore my "beautiful" singing voice and listen to her precious one!

Yup...

This is my child. Crazy hair, tractor t-shirt, and pattton leather dress shoes on the wrong feet - isn't she the most beautiful ting you have ever seen!

Britton will be triple loved...

Well according to my doctor the baby "has not grown anything between her legs yet". Yup, he thought at last ultrasound that is was a girl and still thinks so after yesterday's appointment. I say "he thinks" because he has known to sometimes get the gender of babies wrong during ultrasounds. He though Q was a boy until about 20 weeks. Now don't get me wrong I love my doctor (he is one of the best in Atlanta), but due to the fact I get an ultrasound at every appointment he likes to make gender guesses early and can sometimes be known to change his mind later on during ones pregnancy. "She" was not being very photogenic during our appointment, so I don't have a great picture to share with you all, but I'll put one up after my next appointment. It was very cool though because Q got to sit on my chest during the ultrasound and look at the baby. She knew exactly what it was and Dr. Freeman was awesome with her, showing her the babies hands, feet, and things she could recognize. As you can tell, we are getting excited about #2 and are now officially on the lookout and open to suggestions for girl names. And not to disappoint, here is a picture of what Q does when she "colors" on the way home from church.

Some Firsts...

So, I've decided that since I no longer keep a baby book for Q, I will use this blog to suffice. Here are some pictorial firsts for Q. I tried to load video (but I stink at that) because I wanted to share her singing her ABC's and counting, but alas you will just have to take my word for that. Q learned how to climb out of her crib, so she was immediately upgraded to a "Big Girl Bed" which is a good thing since we have another on the way who will need the crib. B has been working on her room and it looks way cute, but I cannot put up pictures until it is complete. The only bed we had for her is a queen size, so check out our peanut in this huge thing.
The mullet is also growing like crazy so she has been able to sport some new hairdos.

Her true colors have been coming out lately and she definitely has a mind of her own, hence the amount of time she has spent in "time out". Here she is helping me make pancakes, now that's all she wants to eat for breakfast!
