Driving Lesson
From the barrage of posts today it is easy to tell I am having trouble with my finals and need another outlet for my brain!
Sunday was such a beautiful day that B and Q decided they were going to wash cars and bikes. When I went outside to check on them, this is what I found...please don' t arrest us!
Yes, she is really steering the car! I could tell the times when B would let her take control because that was when the car would violently jerk to the right and left!
Check out the wave to the neighbors! Please for the love of all things holy put both hands on the wheel! That sounds like something I will be saying more and more frequently as she gets into her teenage years.
I know this is blurry, but she is really "steering" the car into the driveway!

We've got a clapper
Good thing we don't have those clap on, clap off lights in our house or we would be in trouble! Check out the Payter!
Can you tell how proud she is of herself?

Date Night
I had the opportunity to hang out with some good friends on Friday and B got to have date night with his girls. They had a blast watching a movie (that's Pay's favorite thing - TV!) and Q loved the popcorn. This is how I left them - how cute!
Some great friends...
The best quote was when my Dad saw this picture he said, "Well I know the girl on the left and the one in the middle, but who is that in the black shirt?" Really, he wasn't kidding, he had no idea it was his own daughter! B then went on to explain that it was because I always wear my hair in a ponytail and wear a t-shirt - hummm, looks like I need a bit of help in the wardrobe department!
Speaking of my Dad here are two cute pics from the weekend.
No that is not a marijuana leaf on my pillow...they acutally have Bible verses on them, thank you very much!

Fun???
Does this look like fun to you? Well, if you are a 6 month old it is! And by the way she really can say MaMma!
The Night the Lights Went Out in Georgia
Last night we had a nasty storm and as a result lost power for about an hour. It was right at bedtime and we had to improvise our book reading. I love storms and watching the lightning, but as you can see from the picture, Q is not a fan!
Yup her ears are plugged! The best is she wanted me to lay down with her and I had to be the one covering her ears!

Gwinnett Braves
Q got to experience her first baseball game and after about 20 minutes of her fingers in her ears because of the noise, she warmed up and really enjoyed the game. The best part was Cassidy, Harris, Q, and I were interviewed by CBS news! When we saw our little bit on TV later that night Q looked terrified and yes, had her fingers plugging her ears during the entire interview! None the less, it was a lot of fun and we will go to more games this year for sure. Here are some pics.
Cool logo, huh. The seats on the hill in the outfield are our next endeavor...especially since they are only $6!
Chopper. I'm not sure if he is a Chipmunk or Gopher, but Quinn and Harry loved him none the less.
Check out the fingers in her ears!

Nothing says a great night like cotton candy at 9:00!
Another highlight - they Eyeball Races - I'm not kidding!
The aftermath!

Just Like Daddy
Q was quiet yesterday, so I went to see what she was doing. No lie, this is what I found.
She told me she was just like Daddy, and asked me to turn the fan on on my way out of the bathroom (she said it helps the poo poo come out easier). Now, if we could only get the hang of properly wiping ourselves! And yes, that is the horoscope page, good thing she can't actually read because I would have to have a talk with her about her choice of reading material.

Easter Recap
We had a great Easter weekend with lots of friends, family, food, and candy of course.
Hanging out with Julie on Friday. Q loved it because we also call Jules, "Q", just like our little Q.
Enjoying the Easter Hayride with Harry and Tanner.
Meeting the Easter Bunny (let's not get me started about the origin of the whole bunny thing and why he brings eggs - he can't lay them, and what about the whole Jesus part?...Needless to say, we told Q who was really in the costume). Of course P loved him and Q was not a fan...that's until he gave her a slinky!
Dying eggs with Grammy!
Checkin' out her Easter goodies.
Nothing like celebrating the risen Savior with some chocolate!
Check out our little bunnies!
Ready to hunt eggs at Di Di and Paps' house.
Kallie and Q showing off their finds.
Yes, they are in matching dresses and they are adorable!
Look what Payter found.
Are you kidding...look at their spoils!

Dancing Baby...
Not the one from those TV commercials, but we have our very own dancing baby. Please ignore the lovely singing from her parents and focus your attention on P.
We have had a fun week since so many of our buddies have been home for Spring Break. We got to hike in the woods at Di Di's, eat ice cream for lunch, have our first egg hunt of the season, and just play a whole lot!
All of the Hutcheson grandbabies.
Wearing Daddy's favorite overalls!

The grass is so high, it did all of the hiding for us!
Enjoying their spoils.
This is what Daddy's are meant for!
HAPPY EASTER!

Crooked back and all...
So, we took Pay for her 6 month appointment on Friday and her stats are quite nice for a Lockhart girl... 25 1/2 inches and 14.1 pounds - that's in the 25th percentile for both thank you very much! Mind you Q never made it above the 8th in any of her appointments. We were given some shocking news when her doctor told me she has scoliosis and we needed to schedule an appointment with the specialists at Scottish Rite... ARE YOU KIDDING ME! B and I always noticed she leaned one way while sitting up and leaned her head to one side more than the other, but we would never have thought she had a crooked back. Well, we have an appointment for the 18th of May (can you believe that's the earliest we can get her in!) and the doctors will give us more information about the severity of her curve, prognosis, and treatment. Our prayer, and what we would like for you all to pray for it two fold: 1. That this curve will heal on its own and not get any worse as ages (which can happen with infantile scoliosis) and 2. That regardless of the prognosis that it will not steal her our our joy. We know that the Lord has an incredible plan for both of our girls lives and that this is a part of it, so we just need patience in waiting for His plan to unfold.
From her attitude and the fact she is sitting up you really would have no idea she has this condition. Check out the little doll!

Bath time has gotten to be one of her favorite things to do. She puts up with so much from her big sister!

In Q news, she had her second singing performance at bible study this week and she did MUCH better than the last time...check out the picture here. She did some motions and didn't have her hands in her mouth the whole time, so things are looking up! She is such a girly girl, she picked out her dress the night before and was way excited to wear it... so much so that at one point that evening (when she was supposed to be sleeping) we heard some commotion so I went in to see what was going on. Well, she had NO clothes on and was desperately trying to get her dress on in the dark, in bed! Needless to say getting dressed the next morning was no fight at all, that was the first thing she asked to do when she woke up!
Yes, for those of you who are wondering, those are motions!

Best Ever
Gwinnett County has some of the best parks in the country (no for real it was ranked #1 in the nation last year) and the one we went to on Monday was no exception. I have never seen such an awesome, three story playground and there are hiking, mountain bike and walking trails to boot.
Check out that monster and that was just one of the playgrounds.
That was one fast slide!
Little monkeys.
Just a swingin'!
THis was one of my favorite things - can you tell?

All the cousins, aren't they something!
