tying up loose ends
This Friday starts a month of classes for me and I know that I will not have (well, shouldn't have) time to update the blog, so I am going to try to get everything caught up in the next day or two. Last week was spent mostly hanging out and getting the house organized for my mom to keep the kids all month. We were playing in backyard one afternoon and Q runs over to me telling me that Dakota (our dog) has a rat in her dog feeder. So the scientist in me ran over to check it out. Well, it was no rat, just one nasty opossum. Like any good mom/wife/dog owner/science teacher, we just left in the feeder (it acted like a trap) and let B take care of it when he got home. It was quite the entertaining expereince!
The weather was great last week so we got to spend a couple days at one of our favorite parks (more pics to come). P loves it just as much as Q. They really do play very well together.
I also undertook the daunting task of changing out the girls clothes. From the picture below you can tell how blessed we are to have 3 cousins/friends who pass their clothes down to Q. She can literally wear a new outfit everyday without duplication. It even gets worse when you look in Pay's closet.
Ever since we have put her clothes up she has worn a dress every day (is she mine?). Here she is trying on her new soccer gear...in a dress. She is going to be in for a shocker when she realizes she has to wear shorts and a jersey when she starts next week!
It would not be the Lockhart household if B did not get his kids to play baseball - even if they are in their soccer attire.
Monkey see, monkey do.
