Shakin' Macon
We were supposed to go to Macon this weekend, but due to what I call the Strep Throat Outbreak of Summer 2010 we had to postpone our trip by a few days. We were so sad that we didn't get to see all of the cousins, but there was still a ton of fun to be had. I think MC was just excited to have some girls to play with. There was lots of hanging out.
Swimming...

Nate played some mean piano tunes
And everyone danced a jig.

And jumped rope a bit too
We love our cousins!

Happy and Sad
Q and Harry got medals at soccer yesterday.
Q's was for the best attitude, Harry's was for being so good at hugging his friends. She did score once for the other team (in our house a goal is a goal no matter who you score it for) and had an assist. B sad it was her best practice to date. Do you think she is a bit proud of herself.
Pay and I did not get to go because she had a fever for the past two days and then developed a rash all over her body. This is how she feels about not getting to go to soccer today.
Yup, that is her sad face she has been practicing.

Q and C's birthday party
Today we had an awesome birthday party for Q and Cole at Mayfield dairy (parents, if you are looking for a cheap, easy, stress free party than this is the place to be). The nice thing about having a cousin three weeks younger and in the same preschool and CBS class is that they have pretty much the same friends.
Even Maggie the cow got into the birthday spirit.
Putting on our hair nets to go on the tour.

I could hardly believe it but Pay kept her hair net on the whole time.
They had pretend cows set up for the kids to "milk". It was a huge hit with everyone.

I think Di Di and Pay are milking from the wrong end...
P loved milking the cow.
Poor Maggie...
Everyone got their pick of icecream and the birthday boy and girl got their own sundae... not to shabby.
Pin the tail on Maggie the Cow.
A visit from Maggie.
Present time.

Thanks to everyone who was able to make it, Q had a great time and loved everything she got.
Getting painted
Before we left for the beach I took the girls to get their nails done for the first time at a nail salon (usually super dad does this). The loved it and were so proud of their beautiful painted fingers and toes with they left. I will definitely take them again.
The best part was when Pay would watch the ladies getting full pedicure she would copy what the technicians (I guess that's what you call the people who work there) would do. At one part they started massaging the ladies legs and banging them, so I was also the lucky recipient of a massage - from an almost 2 year old. It has the whole place laughing hysterically.
Yesterday we had another form of painting occur in our house. The girls were painting with Q's water colors and I heard the commotion in the dining room. B handed Pay to me and this is what I received. I was laughing hysterically, him not so much.
When she saw herself in the mirror, she though it was great also.

Friday at the Beach
When the cat's away, the mice will play. Today Mom, Dad, and G-ma headed up north and is was just the kids. We spent lots of time at the beach, eating, and then the pool. It was a great way to end out the week (besides not having the rest of the gang there).
Buddies.

The men working on a hold to bury people in.
The said hole.

P wanted to bury herself.
Guess who.

Pretty!
This is their idea of fun, all piling on G.
We love the beach!

Thursday at the beach
Editors note: there are a lot of pictures in this post.
The whole family was here today and it was so much fun. We started off the day on the beach.

This is how Di Di deals with wardrobe malfunctions...

Protecting the sandcastle from the waves.

After nap they got some gifts from Di Di. This is P telling us that she is a princess.
And then it was off the the pool.
Yup, P is totally holding her breath. When she came back up she would say "Again Mama!
She got to the point where she would jump off the steps and "swim" to me.
After dinner we all went to the peir. Here are all 14 of us.
Checking out the fishermen.

B and C discussing fishing techniques.
The happy couples.

It was a bit windy, but the pictures were still cute.

Bed time is great when G and Abbey are here to read books.
