Chores

This mama is getting used to her girls helping out around the house :).

Proud

Livi has been growing by leaps and bounds these past few weeks and is pretty proud of herself.
 this is a super-proud-I-love-my-daddy face.
She found her way into her sisters' room and did some damage.

After having a rough night's sleep B thought he needed some snuggle time with him on the couch for her to fall asleep.  Well look who won the battle...

She loves trying to walk around the house, the big girls love this method the most.

She would fit perfectly back then!

The 10 Leprechauns

Pay loves going to Bible study every week and she has some pretty awesome teachers :).  She has gotten really good at retelling the Bible studies she hears each week.  This week she learned about the 10 lepers Jesus healed in Luke 17:11-19.  She remembered how many there were, how they were banished from friends and family while they were sick, that they had sores all over their bodies, how they were healed, and the fact that only one went back to thank Jesus.  She got ALMOST everything right.  She swore they were 10 LEPRECHAUNS with sores on their bodies, not 10 LEPERS.  She kept on saying, "The 10 leprechauns were so sick." "The leprechauns went to the temple, but felt better before they saw the priest "  "Only the one leprechaun with the happy heart went back to tell Jesus thank you."
The whole time Q had this puzzled look on her face wondering if they were really leprechauns.  When Pay was finished Q said, "Mamma, I have never heard of that Bible story before."  I tried to explain that they were lepers, but I didn't have to heart to push too hard because it might have been the cutest story Payter has ever told us.  Man I love that kid!

Roller Skating

The kids had a long weekend for Presidents Day so we decided to take them all roller skating.  I knew the big kids would love it, but was a little nervous about Pay.  Well, everyone had a great time, everyone got better throughout the morning, everyone fell hard, everyone can't wait to go back.
Love Pay in the old school roller skates, brings me back to my childhood (yeah B thinks I'm a dork, so what).

Aunt Mandy got in the action.
Check out these skaters...

Look at the concentration on Q's face

Maybe Mandy needed to borrow Q's "skate mate"...

Love these girls...
 Check out Payter go...

Maybe one day we'll get B to join us for a spin around the rink :).

Paterism

Today my parents new puppy came to visit.  Payter was trying to get her to sit using pretzels as a treat, here is how the conversation with the dog went:
P:  Marley sit.
M:  noting
P: Marley sit!
M:  looking at the pretzel drooling
P:  Marley sit down!
M:  still staring at the pretzel
P:  Marley if you don't sit, I'm going to eat your pretzel.
Guess who ended up eating the pretzel?  You guessed it, Payter!

She has also gotten into playing the iPad during Livi's nap.  She doesn't get to play it every day, but when she's not watched much TV I'll let her play it.  Even though it's not a daily activity, we still have the same dialogue every day:
P:  Mom can I play the "you know what"?
Me:  I don't know what you're talking about (though I really do).
P:  You know the i...
Me:  The i what:
P:  The i, what comes after i mom?
Me:  hummm
P:  The i p p p p, you know the rest.
Me:  What's that?
P:  the iPaaaaaaaaddddddd.
Me:  Oh, that's what you were asking about, I had no idea!

God bless my middle child, she is something special!  Being a middle child myself she holds a special place in my heart.

Chores

We just instituted the "Chore Ticket" for Q and P.  So far so good...

Fernbank

I would have never thought we would have had so much fun!  It was wonderful.  The girls loved all of the exhibits, hands on experiments, dinosaurs  and the IMAX movie.  The only think they loved more than these was the company.  It is always a special treat getting to spend the day with G and Abbey.  I am so thankful they are close and love the girls so much that they choose to hang out with us on their days off.
 Spy eyes...

Liv was in awe.  No nap was taken and that was okay because she was perfect the whole day.  There was way too much to see for a baby to sleep.

Q was a bit nervous walking through the "swamp".
The hands on science experiment section was a huge hit.  It was my favorite by far.

 Dinosaur faces!

They were pretending to be weather people on the green screen.

The only thing better than the science experiment room was the incredible playscape they had.  They girls could have spent all day there.

Pay had been waiting all day to get close to the "huge dinosaurs" .

Great day, great time with family, great memories made.

Nothing sweeter

Than a clean baby.
