Bye Bye Paci...

Or at least we pray. After Q's doctors visit this week it was suggested that if we wanted to get rid of paci we should do it before this new baby arrives (which by the way is in @ 9 weeks). So we formulated a plan... Q knows that Hadley ("Bebe") uses a paci and she understands that she is a baby, so we talked her into giving her paci to Hadley. Yesterday was the big day. She was all excited to give it to her until Hadley had to leave with it still in her mouth. Luckily we were able to distract her and B took her to get a present for being a "big girl". The only other times she asked for it was after her prayers and this morning, but so far so good. She has successfully gone to sleep last night and taken a nap this afternoon without it. Keep your fingers crossed that she can keep up this trend and that I don't relent and give it back to her.

YAY! What a creative idea. And DON'T relent and give it back! Also...don't forget to throw (far far away) away the others you have hidden in every nook and cranny of the house, car, purse, diaper bags, etc. Because these kids are also creative geniuses, and they will find them.

my girlfriend got rid of hers with the paci fairy...each night she would gradually take it away...cutting the tip first and then each night or 2-3 nights she would cut the paci off...after the 3rd night, it was ALL GONE

Moms have to get creative.
Great job, Q, I'm proud of you for sharing and loving Hadley in that way...
