Trick or Treat
What a difference a year makes. Last year Q was so sick that she did not get to leave the house on Halloween, but not this year (it was her sister who was sick). Eventhough Pay is getting over "the funk" we couldn't resist putting her in her costume. How cute are they?!
Our precious Minnie Mouse.
Because we live in a small (aka lame-o) neighborhood she got to practice her newly acquired trick-or-treat skills at the three houses who were actually giving out candy. Here she is doing a dry run at our door - cute bee, huh.
After our neighborhood we went over to Harry's to show off our skills.
They did awesome! Q and Harry went up to the doors all by themselves and knocked and rang the doorbell incessantly until someone opened the door.
At the end of the night someone was feeling a bit left out and had to dress up for himself.
I'm thinking they are both still awake due to an extreme sugar high - what a great day!
13.1 - DONE
Mandy, B and I ran the Silver Comet 1/2 marathon along with 1600 of our closest friends. It was a great flat course but as is my race luck it rained until about mile 7. We all finished alive and with very respectable times, this is a race we will definitely do again.
We weren't cold until we finished. You might think these are smiles on our faces, but they are in fact grimaces from shivering so much.

School Fall Festival
Q finally sported the bumblebee (NOT yellow jacket) costume we bought her for halloween, and boy does she make a cute bee. She had a party at school today with crafts, pumpkin carving, and food (my kind of party).
Check out The Bee and Popeye
This is how Pay spent the first part of her day, the kids were petting her like a dog and she loved it!
Pumpkin Carving Time
Earlier this week we carved the girls pumpkins. It started out like this..

To this...
Notice how the girls were no longer in the background.
And finally to this
Quinn's pumpkin
Payters pumpkin.
Now looking back on last year's creation, can you tell which one of us carved which pumpkin? I'm not telling.

Pumpkin Patch
Today was Q's school's annual hayride and pumpkin patch. Let me tell you how this rivals any hayride we have ever been on. They had so much for the kids to see; they even had a Baby Land General stop where they got to watch Mrs. Cathy "deliver" two babies. When she asked the kids what their names should be Q was the first to yell a name...Thumbalina! At the end the kids got to pick out a pumpkin to take home. We love us some Child's World!
Mommy and Payter got to go on the hayride also!
Best buds!
Mrs. Cathy delivering her some cabbage patch babies.
Q with her spoils.
After I picked her up from school today we went to the "Big M" for a super nutritious lunch and to play on the playground.
Pay loved the baby slide, so much that she decided to go face down.
When I picked up Q from school today her teacher told me how she couldn't believe how confident Q was. She said that she wished she could bottle some of it up and give it to the other kids. Now I wonder if that is a good thing or a bad thing. Is confidence another term for being a boss to other kids...we'll never know.

Girls Day
Isn't this a great way to spend a girls day while Daddy is freezing in the rain at a football game?
We went through each girls closets to find winter clothes that fit and Q found herself quite a jewel!
If that doesn't bring a tear to my eye, nothing will (thanks Joe).
After nap we went out to dinner with Heather (which definitly drew some stares from those around us) and finished up the night with ice cream and baths.
Now I'm off to watch a girly movie without hearing B complain (though he has been known to tear up during one of my movies). I can't wait for the girls to get bigger and we can enjoy this stuff even more!

Our Cheer
Q has a new cheer she has been saying lately. You might need to turn off the music at the bottom and turn her up a bit (and ignore my singing).

SNOW!
So we just got wind that Mari Cagle and Nate has snow in Nebraska this weekend, and can you believe it,we had some here also. Well, not really. when we got home from Macon we had a box to open and inside was the mother load of packing peanuts. Who said they were just for ensuring the safety of your goodies, not the Lockharts. In our house this is about the clostest we will come to large sums of "snow" all year.

"Snow" angles!
Warning for those interested in this game...clean up is a bear (thanks B for your hard work), but worth every second of fun and laughter.
A quick trip to M-town
We made a quick trip to Macon for B's grandma's 80th birthday party. You can't go wrong when there is a pool, pinata, food, and family.
Happy Birthday Grandma!
Playing with Gracie.
Eating yummy fish (must I remind you again P goes to parties for the food).
She loved splashing in the pool. By the end of the evning her skirt was soaked, but a small price to pay for the fun.
Do you think she is excited?
Enjoying the spoils of her sisters hard work!
She is almost as big as Briggs...
Playing her new favorite game with Daddy and The Destroyer - Candy Land. Pay's favorite thing to do is crash into anything Q is playing and trow the pieces in the air.
