This week has been very mellow. We have had a new addition to our house during the days, B, a six month old I have started watching. I was not sure how the girls would react, but to say they love him is an understatement.
As I expected Q is awesome with him and loves to make him laugh.

The big shocker is that Pay loves his just as much. Whenever she sees him she says, "Hey Buddy".

Cuteness

Oops, makes me realize that we have almost ZERO boy toys.

They have been playing lots of doctor.

And patient.

Dress up.

And simply hanging out.

Since we have had a little one around the house I have been making a conscience effort to spend individual, quality time with the girls. (Yes, it's sad that it has taken the addition of a child to make me realize that I need to do this.) Today Q and I had one of the best conversations we have had in a while. We were making banana bread while the other two were napping and this was how it went:
Q: Mom when I grow up to be a mom I am going to have two girls and one boy.
K: That sounds great, what will their names be?
Q: Sara, Grace, and Andrew.
K: I like those names.
Q: When they turn four I will teach them how to make banana bread and we will do it together.
K: I think they will like that.
Q: You can come too and help mom, you can be the grandmother.
K: I would really like that. That means that you will be happy and playing with your kids.
Q: Yes, I will be married and get to play with my kids and you can come whenever you want.
As I thought about our conversation it makes me very excited to know that not only is she having fun being a kid, but she is just as excited about what her future holds as I and for her.
