Q had such a wonderful year this year in kindergarten. We loved her school and teacher. It is amazing how much she learned in 9 short months. She is officially a reader and can read chapter books all by herself. She not only blossomed academically, but has become much more confident and less shy as a result. One of the neat things her school does is have the students limbo into the next grade on the last day of school. It was one big party (you know it's a good time when you catch the principle "walking it out").
Here are Q and two of her good friends from her class.
Mrs. Lane came to join the fun. O did what she does best and just snoozed the day away.Another special thing about this year is Q and C were in adjoining classrooms. They saw each other throughout the day and got to play on the playground together.
Limbo-ing her way into the 1st grade.
Q and her teacher (we were sorority sisters in college, but hadn't seen each other for almost 10 years).
I can't wait to see what next year holds for this special little girl, but don't want summer to go by any faster than it already is.
