Christmas Day 2009

Q was not too happy about Santa coming into her house on Christmas Eve and was not exactly excited about presents when she woke up (weird, huh). After she realized that Santa did come, but did not bother her or wake her up, she quickly became more interested in her gifts and what he brought her and Payton."Wow"I think she is a bit excited!
Funny Story: Q had been asking Santa for a "crying polar bear" and a "pink 'puter"since day 1. Well, my mom had the computer taken care of, so B and I tried to figure out what exactly a crying polar bear was. I though it was this small Coca Cola bear she left at a friends house a while back that looked like it was crying because it had its arms outstretched. So, we had G go to the World of Coke to buy her a special polar bear from the big man. We were so excited to give it to her on Christmas morning and we made a big deal about the present. When she opened it the first thing she did was push its belly to see if it cried and was extremely disappointed when no sound came out of this bear. Later that morning when G asked her what Santa brought her she proceeded to tell him, "Santa brought me a polar bear, but he doesn't cry". And yes, she has yet to play or even pick up our prized gift. I guess you win some and you lose some. Lesson learned.Later that morning we exchanged more gifts at Di Di and Paps' house.Pumped about her 'puter! The aftermath of 5 kids and 9 adults opening presents...When things setted down, she and Di Di got to baking...From this shot you can tell how blessed we are. During her prayers last night Q thanked Jesus that it was his birthday so she could enjoy it as well. Our prayer is that both girls will learn to enjoy gift giving as much as receiving them.
